MUSCATINE, Iowa - Marietta Ruth Zimmerman, 95, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at Lutheran Living Senior Campus.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Susan Bantz will officiate. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Online Condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com

Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Lutheran Living.

Marietta was born on November 3, 1925, in Muscatine, the daughter of Clarence and Bertha Borgstadt Kennedy. She married Chester Zimmerman on July 8, 1945, in Muscatine. He preceded her in death in 2013.

She worked at Sears and later for Kent Feeds before retiring. Marietta was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Marietta is survived by her son, Ronald L. Zimmerman of Muscatine; two grandchildren, Nicholas Zimmerman of Redmond, Washington, and Jennifer Jeffrey and husband, Brian, of Coralville; and five great grandchildren, Erin, Aiden, Parker, Preston, and Collins.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Chester.
