Frank Warfield, aged 67, grandson of Robert Lucas, first territorial governor of Iowa, was hit and killed by a train near Montpelier.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Dec. 30, 1849 and died Aug 5, 1916. He is buried in the Greenwood Cemetery.
