Funeral services for Mrs. Susiella Valet Tharp, 91, were held April 20 in Wilton Junction, with the Rev. S. G. Wilkins officiating. Burial was in the Moscow cemetery.

Mrs. Tharp died April 18 at a West Liberty nursing home following a lengthy illness. She was born Dec. 28, 1875, at Moscow Township, the daughter of George and Sophia Fultz Valet. She had been a life resident of Wilton Junction.

She was united in marriage to Lee Tharp in 1895 at Wilton Junction.

Survivors include 4 sons, Louis, Muscatine, Arthur and Orin, Moscow and Thomas, Atalissa; 2 daughters, Mrs. Lila Thompson, Moscow and Mrs. Irene Rockafellow, West Liberty; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter and several brothers and sisters.
