Clarence L. Wagler

Clarence L. Wagler, 64, 1101 E. 3rd St., died at his home Monday evening following an extended illness.

Services are Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints with Elder Charles Williams officiating, assisted by Ronald Symmonds. Pallbearers are Robert Bosch, Howard Hesford, Mylan Phillips, Verle Gruver, Paul Roberts and Eldon Davis. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Fairbanks-Lamb Chapel. A memorial has been established for the Muscatine General Hospital Hospice unit.

Mr. Wagler was born Aug. 27, 1921, in Muscatine, the son of Philip and Mary Carrithers Wagler. He married Corrine Gibbs on July 3, 1943, in Muscatine. He was a member of the Muscatine Power Boat Club and the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints. He retired from Stanley Engineering Company in 1983 and had worked at the Norbert Beckey Bridge.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Dan Wagler, Bethany, Mo., and Steven Wagler, Houston, Texas; two grandchildren; three brothers, Delbert Wagler and Robert Wagler, both of Muscatine, and Donald Wagler, Leavenworth, Kan.; and two sisters, Mrs. George (Mildred) Courtois and Mrs. William (Phyllis) Shield, both of Muscatine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, a brother and a son in infancy.
