MUSCATINE, Iowa - Charles Maher, 88, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at home.

Charles was born on June 5, 1932, in Muscatine, the son of Frank and Margaret Erdman Maher. He married Rhonda Reems.

He graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School in 1954. Charles retired from Alcoa, he worked in the Foil Mill as a foreman. Charles enlisted with the Navy in 1950, he was honorably discharged in 1954.

Charles enjoyed woodworking. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeye fan.

Charles is survived by his son Craig Maher of Davenport; his sister, Marilyn Baer of Muscatine; and seven half siblings.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda; his parents; and his son, Tommy.
