IN LOVING MEMORY of Daryl Gene Walters, 71, of Lake Ozark, MO (formerly Bettendorf, IA) who passed away peacefully on January 8, 2021, at Lake Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with COVID-19.

Daryl (aka Daryl Camaro) was born on August 31, 1949 to Roger and Marian (Krohn) Walters in Fort Dodge, IA. He was a 1968 graduate of Muscatine High School and served in the US Army.

Daryl worked in the Quad Cities area as an electronics technician. He then married the love of his life, Joyce (Strauser) who unfortunately passed away from cancer.

Daryl enjoyed golfing, motorcycling, boating and traveling to see his son Chad (Debbie) in Kansas; sister Barbara (Jim) Florida, niece Angela (Taylor) Ward, Florida, nephew Jimmy (Denise) Greenhaw of Muscatine, the Krohn/Walters cousins, and his best friend Randy Gruemmer.

Daryl was an active member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Lake Ozark. He "loved" the Lord and his fellow Christian friends.

Those left to honor his legacy include: son Chad (Debbie) Anson, sister Barbara (Jim) Greenhaw; brother Alvin (Debbie) Walters; niece Angela (Taylor) Ward; a very special nephew Jimmy (Denise) Greenhaw. Grandchildren: Hayden & Skye Anson, Raiden Richers, Victor Miller, Dakota Thomas-Wilhelm, Tanner Thomas, Blayire. Stepchildren: Jason & Corey Kohler, Cindi Eagle and eight step-grandchildren. Great nieces/nephews: Ashlee (Nick) Perez, Shalyn & Drew Greenhaw, Zachary Walters. His Uncle Milt and Aunt Arla (Krohn) Dahlene and many Krohn/Walters cousins. He loved his families!!

Daryl was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, and parents: Roger & Marian (Krohn) Walters.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1700 Bagnell Dam Blvd., Lake Ozark, MO 65049, American Cancer Society or Wounded Warriors. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date to pay tribute to Daryl's life.
