William Allen Thomason, 76, of Atalissa died July 24 in his home after a long illness.

Services were July 26 in West Liberty, with the Rev. Ernest S. Warden of Muscatine officiating. Burial was in Oakridge cemetery, West Liberty.

Mr. Thomason, a service station operator, was born Jan. 17, 1888, in Muscatine, the son of Deloss and Mary Goldsberry Thomason. He spent most of his life in Cedar and Muscatine counties.

He was married in Vincennes, Ind., Oct. 16, 1911, to Grace May Roberts. He was a member of the Christian church.

Surviving are his widow; a son, Delbert of Atalissa; 2 daughters, Mrs. Wendell Keith, Muscatine and Mrs. Ralph Jensen, Harlingen, Texas; 2 brothers, Walter, Reynolds, Ill., and Richard, Atalissa; 2 sisters, Mrs. LaMar Foster, Sr., West Branch and Mrs. Daisy Holiday, Baldwin Park, Calif.; 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons.
