Mysterious Death Near Nichols.

Nichols, Iowa, Dec. 25. – A report was circulated today which marred Christmas for many. It was that Herman Hiebing, a thrifty, intelligent and well-liked young Hollander, living about three or four miles northwest of here, was found dead by the side of his corn crib this morning. His sister had been keeping house for him but went away on Christmas eve. Mr. Matheson saw him about 11 o’clock and he was apparently as well as ever in his life. The cause of his death can only be surmised.
Note: Herman is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Nichols.
