VINCENT REYNOLDS, VETERAN OF CIVIL WAR, SUCCUMBS.

Nichols, Ia., Aug. 23. Vincent Reynolds, an aged and highly respected citizen, passed away last evening at 5:30 o’clock, after a lingering illness.

Vincent Reynolds died as the result of heart trouble. He had been in failing health for a year or more. At the time of his death he was 70 years of age. For the past week he had suffered intensely and death came as a welcome relief from pain. Mr. Reynolds was a veteran of the civil war. He was a native of Ohio, but had lived in Nichols for the past thirty-eight years. He is survived by his wife, three sons and one daughter. The surviving children are Corwin Reynolds, of West Liberty, Clell and Ward Reynolds, of Nichols, and Mrs. Gertie Autin, of Washington. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at the Christian church, of which religious body Mr. Reynolds was an active member.
