As a result of eating a dish of strawberries at the evening meal, Mrs. Gerta Lindberg, aged 32 years, died at her home in Muscatine. The woman appeared to be in excellent health during the day, but the luscious fruit brought about acute indigestion, which proved fatal. She became critically ill during the night and died several hours later.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows her name as Gerda and that she was born in 1880 and died June 14, 1913. She is buried in Greenwood Cemetery.
