Richard Honea, 82, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020 at Pearl Valley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Muscatine due to complications of Covid-19. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services is caring for his family and the arrangements. Richard Kenneth Honea was born on August 1, 1937 in Muscatine, Iowa the son of Charles and Della (Peak) Honea. He worked at Greenwood Cemetery in the Maintenance Department for almost 30 years before his retirement.

Richard will be deeply missed by his daughter, Karen Franklin of Muscatine; grandson, Jeremy (Jessica Martin) Flores of Muscatine; great-grandchildren, Keira Weikert, Drake Flores and Kendra Flores; great-great-grandchildren, Anthony Castillo, Kristopher Flores, and one on the way; sister, Etta Honea of Muscatine and many extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Charles Honea Jr, Robert Honea and half-brother, John Roberson.
