ADELLA MARY FLAKE

Funeral Services for Mrs. Adella Mary Flake, 77, who died Thursday, Aug. 3 at the Lipplegoes Nursing home will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Geo. M. Wittich funeral home.
Mrs. Flake, 112 ½ Gobble St., was born May 23, 1884, at Lone Tree, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Porter Douglas. She had made her home in Muscatine for the past 45 years.
On Nov. 1, 1905, she married Harvey Flake at Washington, Iowa. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, one son and a number of brothers and sisters.
Surviving are four sons, Lester Flake, route 5; Harry Flake, route 5; Reuben Flake and Ralph Flake, Muscatine; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Carpenter, Muscatine, and Mrs. Fred Uthe, Deerfield, Wis., and 30 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Rev. J. Arthur Eveland of the First EUB church will officiate at the funeral and burial will be in the Walker cemetery, River Junction, Iowa.
