The funeral of Mrs. Fred Jacobson was held at the M. E. church last Tuesday. Rev. D. S. Dunlaray, of Chillicothe, Ia., preaching the sermon. He was assisted in the service by Revs. H. C. Mellice and T. B. Keoppel. Mrs. Jacobson had been an invalid for years but had been confined to her bed only about two weeks. She leaves a husband, two sons, and two daughters, besides a number of relatives. Her sons, Joseph and James reside in Nichols. The daughters, Mrs. Laura Heckmeyer, at Shields, Kan., and Mrs. Winnie Fish at Connie, Washington. A large number attended the funeral. The interment took place at the Pleasant Valley cemetery, a mile east of Hill’s siding, south of Iowa City, by the side of her parents.

Nichols - Fred Jacobson removed the remains of his deceased wife from Pleasant Valley cemetery to Nichols cemetery last Tuesday.
