Nichols school Boy Dies Saturday of Bronchial Trouble; Funeral Saturday
Nichols John Fischer, son of Mrs. P. E. Blackorby, died suddenly Saturday morning at his home here. Death was due to bronchial trouble, from which he had suffered for several years. Short funeral services were held at the home Sunday, with the Rev. E. L. Nickle in charge, after which the body was taken to his former home at Rock Falls, Ill., where funeral services were held Monday.
John Wilfred Fischer, son of Mrs. P. E. Blackorby, was born at Rock Falls, Ill., April 8, 1916. Three years ago he moved with his parents to Nichols, where he attended school, being at the time of his death a member of the freshman class. He was a member of the Lutheran church of Rock Falls, of the Juvenile Mystic Workers of the World lodge and a Boy Scout of Troop No. 135 of Nichols.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. P. E. Blackorby; his step-father, P. E. Blackorby; two step brothers, Orville and Owen Blackorby, all of Nichols; his father, Rudolph Fischer, and four brothers, Harold, Clarence, Henry and Rudolph Fischer, all of Dixon, Ill.
