Services are planned at 2 p.m. today at Wilton Junction for Walter H. Maurer, 65, a life resident of the Moscow and Wilton Junction area, who died at 11 p.m. Monday at the Wilton Nursing home. The Rev. Richard McEuen, pastor of the Wilton Presbyterian church, will officiate. Burial will be at the Oakdale cemetery. Masonic rites will be held in conjunction with the services.

The son of John and Ellen Maurer, he was born Jan. 12, 1893, at Moscow. His marriage to Louise Hunzinger took place Aug. 25, 1915, at Iowa City. He was a member of the Wilton Presbyterian church and of Wilton Masonic lodge No. 167, A.F. & A.M.

Survivors include his wife and a son, Howard Maurer, at Moscow; one brother, Harry Maurer, and one sister, Mrs. May Frenzel, of Wilton Junction, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one brother, and one sister.
