Henry H. Lehms, 79, a resident of Durant for five years, died Feb. 12 in his home.

Mr. Lehms was born Aug. 15, 1879, in Muscatine county, and married Anna Baugert March 9, 1904. The couple farmed near Blue Grass for 15 years and then moved to a farm a mile north of Durant, retiring five years ago.

He was a member of the Davenport Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Alvin Hansen, Durant; two brothers, William, Durant, and Arthur of Plain View; three sisters, Mrs. Sophie Stramp, Iowa City, Mrs. Chris Alt, Blue Grass, and Mrs. Adelaid Fridley, Muscatine; a grandson and a great grandson.

Services were held Saturday in Durant chapel with burial in Durant cemetery.
