Mrs. Emma Marolf, 79, a resident of West Liberty for many years, died late Thursday night at a West Liberty nursing home.

She was born at Wilton Junction Dec. 16, 1878, a daughter of Jacob and Marie Friedli, and was married to Will Marolf at Wilton Junction Feb. 24, 1904.

The couple established their home in West Liberty in 1909. Mrs. Marolf was a member of the Lutheran church.

Survivors include her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Marie Burkle, Wilton Junction, and a grandson. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday at the Lutheran church in West Liberty, with burial in the Wilton Junction cemetery.
