Mrs. Downer, 72, Goes in Death

Mrs. Jennie Downer, 72, formerly of this city, died Sunday at Mt. Pleasant, where she had been a patient at the state hospital for some time.

Mrs. Downer was born July 26, 1859. Her marriage to Samuel Downer was on Nov. 30, 1893, at Wellsville, MO.

Surviving are her husband of Muscatine, one daughter, Mrs. Peggy Reimer, one sister, Mrs. Doshia Downer, of Davenport, two brothers in Oklahoma, and one grandson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Wittich Funeral home by the Rev. William Slack of the Musserville Methodist Episcopal church. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery. The body will remain at the Wittich Funeral home pending services
