William J. Moylan passed away at 7:30 o'clock, this morning, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. C. White, at 301 South Clinton street, The remains were taken to his home, 314 South Linn street. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9:30 o'clock at St. Patrick's church.

Mr. Moylan was 52 years of age, on November 29, 1922, having been born in Atalissa, Iowa, in 1870. His parents were the late Edward Moylan and Mrs. Anna Frances Moylan, who lives. He was married Dec. 11, 1891, to Mary Adeline Poole at West Liberty and two daughters and a son--Mrs. A. C. White, wife of a prominent young Iowa City business man, and Roy and Tressa Moylan, were born to them.

There are also three sisters--Mesdames Thomas McCarthy, of West Liberty; George W. Black, Muscatine; and Harrison Billick, Iowa City; and three brothers--Ralph P. Moylan, Cedar Rapids; James Moylan, Iowa City; and Frank J. Moylan of West Liberty.

Mr. Moylan passed the greater part of his life in Muscatine as a merchant; later he was in the hotel business in West Liberty; and he has lived in Iowa City the last five years.

Mr. Moylan was a man whose prime virtue was always patience. He bore the reputation of never speaking an ill word for any person in his life. His friends will mourn and will tender sympathy to his family. -- Iowa City Press-Citizen, Tuesday March 13.

William J. Moylan was a few years ago, the successful proprietor of the Julian Hotel at this place; and he and his family have a large circle of friends in this vicinity, who will receive the news of his passing with sincere regret.

Recently Mr. Moylan became the owner of a restaurant in Iowa City which he conducted until the time of his death. His death, we are told, was the result of the flu and heart trouble.
