Nichols Gazette: Fannie Louisa Sheely was born in Clark county, O., Dec. 28th, 1836, and died at her home south of Nichols, Iowa, March 7th, 1900, at the age of 63 years, 2 months and 7 days.
At the age of 18 years she came to Iowa with her parents, and lived here till the year 1866, when she went with her parents to Ft. Scott, Kan.
On December 25th, 1866, she was united in marriage to Thomas S. Wildman. They then returned to Muscatine county, Iowa, and lived until Mr. Wildman’s death, which occurred August 28, 1871. She lived a widow, with her son, until Oct. 6, 1873, when she was united in marriage to Peter Moore, with whom she lived until the time of her death.
She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, one son, John Wildman, of this county, and one brother, Michael B. Sheely, of Guide Rock, Neb., and a host of relatives and friends.
Early in life she united with the U. B. church, and later in years she united with the Christian church at Nichols, of which she remained a devoted member until the time of her death.
The funeral services were held at the Christian church at this place last Friday, March 9th, conducted by Rev. W. H. Kaiser, assisted by Rev. C. E. Fitzsimmons, and the remains were laid to rest in the Watkins cemetery, southeast of town. The pall bearers were Mesdames A. J. Brockway, L. M. Cecil, J. H. Krider, J. D. Nash, B. F. Abbott and J. Ryan.
