MRS. H. B. TERRY CANCER VICTIM

SUCCUMBED TODAY AFTER LONG ILLNESS.

Had Undergone Two Operations Since the 30th of August - Funeral to Be Sunday.

Mrs. Halbert B. Terry passed away this morning at 9:40 o’clock at the family home on Mills street, after an illness of a six months, cancer being the cause. She had undergone two operations since August 30th, the last one being on December 1st. Since that time she had been slowly sinking and her death was not unexpected. Mrs. Terry was born in Vinton county, Ohio, on April 3rd, 1849, and moved with her family, when nine years of age, to Drury township, Ill. She was married on August 10, 1879, to H. B. Terry and eight years ago came to this city to make their home. She had been a member of the Baptist church at Foster, Ill., for many years and while in good health took an active interest in church work.
Besides her husband she is survived by a number of children, Lee, Harrison, Wilbur and Ethel Terry. One brother, Thomas Brown, of Burlington, and a half brother, Bert Brown, of Moscow, also survive her.
The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the First Baptist church, Rev. C. E. Bryden officiating.
