ANSWERS ROLL.

An Old Soldier Goes to His Reward Saturday Evening.

At 8 o’clock Saturday evening occurred the death of Jacob Schumacher at the home of his nephew, J. A. Hass, of Fruitland township. Death was due to a stroke of apoplexy. After spending his life in this world trying to do good to those around him, death came Saturday to take him to the final roll above to that land of sunshine and happiness. Being a man of great cheerfulness, he will be missed by many friends, who with the family are left to mourn his death.
Jacob Schumacher was born on September 1, 1818, thus attaining the age of 86 years, five months and 17 days.
The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at Nichols, where the interment will be made. The remains will be taken to Nichols tomorrow morning.
