Glenn V. Goodwin, 61, of 106 Taylor Street, Muscatine, was pronounced dead on arrival at Muscatine General hospital at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday. He was born Aug. 8, 1906 at Avery, Iowa, the son of Arthur and Mina Powell Goodwin. Mr. Goodwin had lived in Des Moines before moving here six years ago to become an announcer with radio station K. W. P. C.

Goodwin started as an actor in radio shows in Chicago 35 years ago. He had a regular role in the “Lights Out” mystery series. Before coming to Muscatine he had been an announcer for radio stations at Fort Dodge, Waterloo, Des Moines, Creston and Oskaloosa.

Glenn Goodwin married Maxine Wilson, Feb. 23, 1937 at Des Moines. He attended Highland Park Christian Church of Des Moines.

Survivors include his widow, Maxine Goodwin; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Glenda) Moreno and Mrs. Larry (Lake) Honn both of Des Moines, one sister, Mrs. Marvin (Leona) Collins of Lansing, Mich. and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the George Wittich funeral home. Interment services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Laurel Hill cemetery, Des Moines.
