Louis J. Milder

March 15, 1906 – April 4, 1968

Louis J. Milder, 62, of 220 North Lucas Street died at a Davenport hospital Thursday evening after a lengthy illness. He had been visiting in Davenport.
Requiem high mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Church in Iowa City. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at Nichols. The rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m. Sunday at the Donohue Mortuary, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Regina High School Booster Club.
Mr. Milder was born in Scott Township of Johnson County March 15, 1906, to William S. and Mary Frances Hooley Milder. He was a lifetime resident of Johnson County and for the past 14 years was employed at Boyd and Rummelhart Plumbing and Heating Co. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, its Holy Name Society, and was a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. William S. Milder of Iowa City; two sisters, Mrs. George W. (Margaret) Smith of Davenport, Mrs. Russell (Mary Agnes) Gibson of Englewood, Colo.; five brothers, Robert of West Liberty, James of Algona, Leslie of West Branch, Charles of Ottumwa, Clement of Carol Stream, Ill., and 25 nieces and nephews.
His father died in 1943.
