Mrs. Wilder Smith Of Near Nichols Taken in Death

Nichols — Mrs. Wilder Smith, 81, died Friday night in her home east of Nichols of complications following a fractured hip which she suffered on Jan. 20 of this year. She had been confined to bed since that time.
Annie Maria Jameson was born in Indiana, July 29, 1859, the daughter of Ezra and Emmaline Jameson, and came to Iowa with her mother when a small child, following the death of her father. She was married to Wilder Smith pf Iowa City, Oct. 27, 1882. The couple had no children, but reared a niece, Hazel Wroe, since she was a child of four.

Surviving are her husband; three sisters, Mrs. E, D. Hill of Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. Margaret Marshall of LaPorte City, la., and Mrs. G. W. Service of Iowa City; a brother, Malcolm Jameson of Nichols; a half-brother, Ed Jameson of Aurora, la,, and a niece, Mrs. Hazel Wasson of Muscatine. Her parents, a sister, half-sister and half-brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p. m. from the Nichols Methodist church, with the Rev. E. L. McClure officiating.
