Jacob Bickford Aged Resident of Wilton Dies
Wilton – Jacob Bickford, 76, a long time resident of Wilton, died at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Muscatine county hospital after a lengthy illness.Bickford was born Dec. 13, 1870 at Tipton, the son of John and Mary Bickford. He was united in Marriage with Maude Estes on Feb. 11, 1913 at Rochester, Ia. He was a member of the Pulaski lodge No. 107, I.O.O.F.
He is survived by one son, Russell of West Liberty two daughters; Mrs. Violet Henderson and Mrs. Charlotte Keith both of West Liberty, three brothers, Myer and John of Buchanan and James of What Cheer; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Laucamp of Rochester and Mrs. Sarah Cary of Los Angeles, Calf., and seven grandchildren.
His parents and one sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at the Griffith funeral home on Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Rev. J. M. Newgard, pastor of the Grace Evangelical and Reformed Church at Wilton will officiate. The body is at the Griffith Funeral home in Wilton.
Burial will be in the Rochester cemetery.
