Irma Avis Diercks, 92, of Muscatine, died Tuesday, September 13,2005, at Unity Hospital. Funeral services will be Monday, September 19, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Pastor Brenda Booth of the First Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation for Irma will be held on Monday, September 19th from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the First Christian Church of Muscatine in Irma's name.

Irma Avis Diercks was born September 28, 1912, in Lake Township of Muscatine County, Iowa, the daughter of Jacob Harrison and Bertha Ellen (Ansell) Minder. On October 11, 1934, Irma was united in marriage to Hollis R. Dollman in Rock Island, Illinois. They later divorced. On February 18, 1961, Irma married William R. Gardner in Muscatine. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1963. On April 28,1966, Irma was united in marriage to Ralph J. Diercks in Rock Island, Illinois. She worked for Woolworth's Department Store for 27 years in sales. Irma was a member of the Eagles' Women Auxiliary,the American Legion Auxiliary and Pocahontas. She was a 50 year member of the Women of the Moose; a member of the First Christian Church and the First Christian Women's Fellowship.

Irma will be dearly missed by her son, William "Bill" Dollman and his wife, Carol, of Iowa City; two grandchildren, Kristen Dollman of St.Cloud, Minnesota, and Douglas Dollman and his wife, Tera, of Ankeny; one brother, Gene E. Minder of Cedar Rapids; a niece, Irma Jean Turner of BellaVista, AR; and two nephews, Jack Minder of Cedar Rapids and Edward Minder of Kearney, MO.

Irma was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; one son Hollis Reeves Dollman, Jr. in infancy; a brother, Roy K. Minder in infancy; a niece, Jane Louise Minder; and her sister-in-law, Eleanor (Connor) Minder.
