ALVA COINER
Brainard, Minn--Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Sheets Funeral Home in Tipton for Alva Coiner, 65, Brainard, Minn. Mr. Coiner died at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Brainard following an extended illness.

Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery in Tipton. Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home.

Alva Coiner was born Feb. 22, 1910 in South English, the son of Perry and Rosella Coiner. He married Anna Grinell Brinkman. He was a former resident of Rochester and had lived by Lake Edwards in Brainard for the past eight years. He had been a mechanic all of his life.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert of Rochester, and William of Muscatine; two daughters, Annette and Doris, both of Bemidji, Minn.; one brother, Earl Coiner of Tipton, and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother.
