RIVERSIDE, Iowa - Paul Libenguth, 87, of Riverside, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2000, at the Pleasantview Home in Kalona following an extended illness.

Services will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Riverside. The Rev. Mark Swanson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Keith Strabala, Rodney Strabala, Kent Strabala, Scott Strabala, Larry Rice and Bill Homer. Burial will be at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Rosary service at the Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home in Riverside.

Mr. Libenguth was born March 23, 1913, on Easter Sunday in Washington County, the son of Joseph L. and Theresa Clara Kron Libenguth.

He graduated St. Mary's Catholic School in Riverside in 1931. After high school Paul joined the United States Army Air Corp during World War II, serving as a military policeman. After the service Paul worked for Wilson Meat Packing Company in Cedar Rapids, retiring in 1975 with over 30 years of service.

He will be deeply missed by one sister, Leola Swanka of Riverside and 17 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Mark Libenguth and two sisters, Bernice Strabala and Margaret Rice.
