WEST BRANCH, Iowa
Genevieve E. Craig, 82, died Sunday, June 4, 2000, at the Crestview Care and Rehabilitation Center in West Branch following a short illness.

Services will be at the West Branch United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard M. Paulus officiating. Services will also be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro, Mich., Friday. Burial will be at the Almer Cemetery, Caro. The Barker Funeral Home in West Branch is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Craig was born March 1, 1918, in Caro, Mich., the daughter of Leo and Hannah Smalley Allen. She graduated from Caro High School. She was married to Willis Craig.

The couple lived in Detroit, Mich., for several years until Mr. Craig's death. She returned to Caro and in 1979, moved to West Branch to be near her sister.

She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Caro., and the West Branch United Methodist Church. She made hand work and sold her items at flea markets.

Survivors include four sons, Beaudry Craig, Caro, Dallas Craig and his wife, Lucy, Reese, Mich., Leon Craig and his wife, Sheilah, Titusville, Fla., and Kenneth Craig of Coralville; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Floyd; and sister, Flavia Murch.
