GEORGE HERMANN

George H. Hermann, 93, 867 Newell Avenue, died Thursday afternoon at the Muscatine General Hospital.

Services will be 10 am Monday at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home. The Rev. Telford Dindinger will officiate. Visitation will be from 2-9 pm Sunday. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Hermann was born Feb. 7, 1890 in Muscatine, the son of George H. and Regina Marie Von Weber Hermann. He was a lifetime resident of Muscatine. In 1954 he married Nancy (Ella) Bierman in Muscatine. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, 50 year member of Iowa Lodge No. AF&AM, 50 year member of Royal Arch Masons of Iowa, Demolay Commandry, Knight Templars, Loyal Order of Moose, Elks Lodge No. 304, American Rose Society, Tri City Rose and Garden Club, Royal National Rose Society, and was secretary of the Park Board for many years. He was a retired florist.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Marion Hutton of Muscatine; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dr. Alford H. Hermann of Milwaukee, Wis.

Mr. Hermann was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
