Edetta Honts
Muscatine, Edetta J. Honts, 80, formerly of Muscatine, died Thursday, October 26, 1995 in Jasper, Mo. where she had resided for the past year.
Graveside services will be at 11 A.M. Monday at the Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Cyril McKay officiating.
The former Edetta J. Gerth was born July 29, 1915 at Grann Valley, S.D., the daughter of Ted and Clara Huckins Gerth.
She had been employed as a waitress, working in several Muscatine area restaurants.
She is survived by four sons, Donald Schmeizer of Warrenville, Ill., Gerald Schmeizer of Little Rock, Ark., and Michael Honts, and David Honts both of Belton, Texas; three daughteers, Carol Ann Miller and Linda Joy Fry, both of Muscatine; and Mrs. Jerry (Susan Kay) Ogle, of Jaser;24 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Rhodes of Muscatine, and Mrs. Lloyd (Lola) Dotsun of Geneeo, Ill.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Rob Wessels and John Honts, one brother, one sister and two grandchildren.
