Glady Honts
Gladys O. Honts, 84, 505 West 4th Street, died early today, Wednesday, January 2, 1991, at Lutheran homes.
Services will be Friday, Jnuary 4, at 1:30 P.M. at the Geo. M. Wittich Lewis Funeral home. The Rev. Gary Howse of the Four Square Church will officiate. Burial will be at the Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home, where a memorial has been established.
Mrs. Honts was born November 4, 1906 at Admire, Kan, a daughter of John Hammond and Mary Ellen Pennick Thomas. She had lived here for most of her life.
On January 6, 1928 she was united in marriage in Muscatine to Elmer Cecil Honts.
Survivors include five sons, Richard L. Honts, Robert L. Honts, Thomas J. Honts, Donald E. Honts and Frank E. Honts, all of Muscatine; three daughters, Donna Mae Grace of Muscatine; Mrs. Gary J. (Carolyn) Conlin of Haywood, Calif., and Phyllis J. Honts of Muscatine; 29 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; two brothers, Verne Thomas, of Topeka, Kan., and Ernest Thomas of Sacramento, Calif., and three sisters, Eula Miller and Mrs. Claude (Lavina) McHune both of Topeka, Kan., and June Kuiken of Tacoma, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1966, one son Lynn, three brothers ans six sisters.
