CARL ROHDE

Carl Rohde, 76, of 2005 Cedar Street, died at 2:30 am today at Muscatine General Hospital. He had been in failing health for (undecipherable).

Mr. Rohde was a life resident of Muscatine, born here March 8, 1890.

He was married Dec. 1, 1915, in Muscatine, to Hazel Spence.

Mr. Rohde was a member of Faith United Church of Christ.

He is survived by two sons, Richard Rohde of Eliza, Ill., and Harold of Morning Sun; four daughters, Mrs. Wilbert Goldesberry of Wapello, Mrs. Eugene Fitchner of Conesville, Mrs. Glen Latta of Muscatine and Mrs. Everett Ament of Wapello; four brothers, Ed Rohde of Muscatine, Albert and William Rohde of Eau Claire, Wisc., and Clarence Grott of Muscatine; one sister, Agnes Krueger of Muscatine; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, one daughter, one brother and one sister.

The body is at the Ralph J. Wittich funeral home, where friends may call after 7 o'clock this evening. Rev. James Engel will officiate at services at 1 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
