F. E. Honts, 74, Goes in Death; Services Friday
Services are planned at 2 P.M. Friday at the Geo. M. Wittch Funeral home for Francis Edgar Honts, 74, who died at 4 P.M. Tuesday at his home, 509 East Tenth street, folling an extended illness. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery.
Mr. Honts was born November 18,1882 at Columbus City, the son of James and Alverda Trader Honts. He had been a resident of Muscatine for 50 years, coming here from Nichols. His marriage to Catherine Riegel took place here on October 14, 1907. He was a member of the Grace Lutheran church and the Elks lodge.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, J. Francis and Everett Honts, one daughter, Mrs. Edna Greene and one brother Jesse F. Honts, all of Muscatine. Also suriving are 15 grandchildren and eigth great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were two daughters, six brothers, one sister and one great grandchild.
