CATHERINE HONTS

Catherine Ann Honts, 92, a resident of the Hershey Convalescent Home, died there Sunday.

Services will be held at 10 am Tuesday at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home. Pastor Don Harding will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation is until 9 o'clock this evening.

The daughter of John George and Margaret Elizabeth Brandt Bartenhagen Riegel, she was born Feb. 25, 1890, in Fruitland Township in Muscatine County. She was a life resident of the surrounding area.

Her marriage to Francis Edgar Honts took place Oct. 14, 1907, in Muscatine. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church. Mrs. Honts was a retired employee of the H.J. Heinz Co.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. W. Allen (Edna) Greene of Muscatine; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Fred (Mildred) Pershke of Muscatine.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, two daughters, four brothers, seven sisters and one great-grandchild.
