Mrs. Dan Mullen, a resident of Montgomery county for forty-eight years, died at her home, 509 Washington avenue, Saturday from a stroke of apoplexy.

Lucinda J. Yonker was born in Canada, March 8, 1849 and at the time of her death was 75 years old. She was married in Rockford, Ill., on November 6, 1866 to Daniel Mullen. Mr. and Mrs. Mullen lived for several years in Illinois, coming to Montgomery county in 1876, settling on a farm near Grant. Later they lived at Morton Mills and near Villisca, coming to Red Oak to make their home in 1911. Mr. Mullen died in this city June 13, 1912.

Six children survive, Miles Mullen, Ladysmith, Wis.; Lou Mullen, Cumberland, Ia.; Lessie Mercer, Big Springs, Colo.; Mildred Reynolds, Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Charles Atwood, Council Bluffs and Miss Elizabeth Mullen of Red Oak. All the children were present at the funeral except Mrs. Reynolds.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the home, Rev. H.S. Wilkinson, pastor of the M.E. church, of which she was a member, had charge of the services.
