Last Rites Held For Ralph Kreiger at Creston Feb 6
Ralph Valjean Kreiger, son of George W. and Sarah Sevier Kreiger, born February 4, 1907 at Creston, Iowa, passed away February 3, 1971 at an Omaha hospital after an extended illness. Ralph spent his early childhood in Creston, moving with his parents to Villisca where he grew to manhood. He was employed by C.B. & Q. Railroad at Villisca and Shenandoah, moving to Omaha in 1939. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, and an employee of Wilson Packing Co. of Omaha for many years. Services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. February 6 from Coen’s Home for Funerals, Creston, with Rev. Dale Cunningham officiating. Organ selections by Mrs. Reed Kline were “Rock of Ages” and “Beyond the Sunset.” Casket bearers were Lloyd Sevier, Frank Sevier, Glen Else and Kenneth Higgins. Military rites and interment were at Graceland Cemetery, Creston. Mr. Kreiger is survived by one son, Ralph V, II, a daughter, Mrs. Roberta White, Omaha, a sister, Mrs. Bertha Wilson, Creston, two brothers, Warren, Lincoln, Nebraska, and Earl, Tuscon, Arizona, several nieces and nephews.
