The funeral services of Mrs. Jane B. Hayes, who died Saturday, Nov. 6 at her residence,( ???) –A Sixth street were held this morning. Only the family were present at the services. The body was sent to Villisca today at noon and will be buried in the cemetery there.

Jane B. Byington was born in New York, January 9, 1850, and was 70 years of age at the time of her death. She was married to Mr. Hayes who died several years ago, and to this union three children were born. Those surviving are A. B. and Charley of Red Oak, and Mrs. A. C. Clapp of Harlan.

Those in attendance from a distance for the services were a brother and sister, C. I. Byington of Lanark, Ill., and Mrs. Clara Peek of Stockton, Ill.
