Services for Gladys Irene Kendrick, will be Wednesday, March 22, at 2 p.m. at Wolfe Funeral Home in Villisca. The Rev. Sandra Wainwright and the Rev. Albert Baker officate and burial is in Villisca Cemetery. She died Sunday (March 19, 1995) at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak.
Mrs. Kendrick was born Aug. 12, 1910, near Hawkyville to Moses and Maggie Black Vance. She married Darwin Kendrick in Grant City, MO on Jan. 15, 1932, and he died on Nov. 14, 1990. She had worked in the family business of Kendrick and Vance Plumbing and Heating in Villisca. Memorials are suggested to Villisca Ambulance Service. Family cisitation is today from 7-8 p.m. at Wolfe Funeral Home.
Survivors include two children,Darwin F. Kendrick of Crystal Lake, IL and Mrs. Gayle (Linda) Heard of Villisca; seven granddaughters, Kimberly, Terryl, Kelly, Cori, Staci, Darci and Misti; seven great-gradchildren.
