Well Known Grant Woman Died Suddenly of Heart Attack At Her Home Wednesday, July 25.

Grant, Aug. 1—Mrs. Myrtle Westover, 69, died suddenly from a heart attack at her home here early Wednesday. She had appeared to be in her usual health and had entertained company at her home until 10 o’clock Tuesday night.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Grant Methodist church. Singing was by Mrs. Hal King and Mrs. Myrtle Pogue, accompanied by Mrs. Earl Spiker. Pallbearers were Geo. Stinemates, A. C. Stinemates, D. J. Chalmers, N. H. Jones, Earl Courcier and J. F. Mueller. Flower ladies were Mrs. Ralph Givan and Mrs. A. C. Stinemates. Rev. Orley White was in charge of the service. Burial was in the Grant cemetery.

Myrtle Mae Copeland, daughter of Chas. and Martha Copeland, was born August 27, 1875, at Stuart, Iowa. She was married August 4, 1891, to William A. Westover, who died in 1936. They lived on a farm southwest of Grant for many years. To this union were born eight children, two dying in infancy. Surviving are two sons, Fred of Grant, and William of Avon, Illinois; four daughters, Mrs. Ted Weston and Mrs. Harry Weston, and Mrs. George Courcier, all of Grant, and Mrs. Albert Adams of near Elliott. One brother, Ed Copeland of Red Oak, 28 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
