Brother, Robert Sadler

Sadler. Bro. Robert Sadler fell asleep in Jesus March 9th, 1888, of brain fever, after an illness of twenty-four hours.

Bro. S. was born in Summit Co., Ohio, Aug. 5th 1829. He was married to Miss Charlotte Steward, Sept. 2nd, 1852. From Ohio he came to Jackson Co., Iowa, and lived there five years. Then he came to Clinton Co. In 1880 he moved to Montgomery Co., Ia. He with his wife belonged to the Christian church. He was an able worker. After coming here and hearing Elder B. Forester, he became interested in the near coming of Christ, embraced the truth at once, and joined the Advent church has at Hazel Grove. In his death the church has lost an elder and a faithful brother. He leaves a loving wife, seven sons and six daughters to mourn his death, but they sorrow not without hope. As Elder Forester was absent, the funeral services were conducted by Bro. F. C. Watkins, who spoke cheering words from 1 Thess. 4:14,15. Then with sad hearts we laid him away to rest. We shall meet him in the morning.
A. Friend.
