 DIED IN KANSAS.
Mrs. Catherine Cameron, Resident of Red Oak Many Years, Passed Away Thursday, April 25.

Mrs. Catherine Cameron, for a number of years a resident of Red Oak, died Thursday, April 25, 1918, at Plainville, Kansas, from heart trouble after illness of four weeks.

The remains were brought to Red Oak Evergreen cemetery for burial, funeral services being held at the home of Misses Mary and Jenny Laupp, sisters of the deceased, at 4 o’clock Sunday afternoon. Rev. Wm. Murchie, of the United Presbyterian church, preached the sermon and singing was by members of the church choir. The pallbearers were J. Elwood, Rev. D. Nicoll, John Gilchrest, O. R. Byers, B. B. Clark and F. E. Crandall. Those who were here from a distance to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Dan Laupp, of Wilcox, Neb., and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Barber, of Plainville, Kansas.

Catherine Laupp was born in Württemberg, Germany, February 27, 1849, and came to America in 1852. She lived here until her marriage to Hugh J. Cameron, January 18, 1874, and they then moved to Kansas, living at Beloit and Kerwin until 1912, when they returned to Red Oak. Mr. Cameron died here in 1917, and Mrs. Cameron had been in Kansas much of the time since his death.

Mrs. Cameron is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Christine Barber, of Plainville, Kansas, and one adopted daughter, Mrs. Jessie Ragsdale, living in Washington. Two sisters, Misses Mary and Jennie Laupp, of Red Oak, and one brother, Dan Laupp, of Wilcox, Neb., also survive.

Deceased was a member of the Congregational church for many years. She was a good woman and the surviving relatives have the sincere sympathy of a wide circle of friends.
