MRS. B. F. BISHOP DROWNS IN TANK
----------
Mrs. Bishop fell in tank and husband found body when he came to dinner.
----------
Thought to have been in the tank for about an hour.
-----------

This community was shocked this noon when the news was phoned to town that Mrs. B. F. Bishop had been found drowned in the water tank at the farm home southeast of Elliott. Mr. Bishop had been husking corn and on coming to the house, went to water his team and found his wife’s life-less body in the tank. It is thought that she went for water and accidentally fell in the tank, and in her struggles to get out, lost her head and strangled. Apparently, she had been in the tank at least an hour when the discovery was made by her husband.

She is survived by her husband, an 11-month-old daughter, and numerous other relatives. Up to the time of going to press, the coroner had not arrived and owing to the lateness of the hour, full particulars will appear next week.

Everyone in this city and community extend their sincere sympathy to the bereaved family in their great sorrow.

THE ELLIOTT GRAPHIC, Elliott, Iowa, November 6, 1913.
