John Anderson, who lived on B.J. Austin's farm, about 3 1/2 miles southeast of Red Oak, was fatally hurt Tuesday evening about 8:30 o'clock. The accident happened about a mile from his home.

He was on his way to Red Oak in a road cart and in coming rapidly down a hill ran into Randolph Watkins's buggy, Mr. Watkins being on his way home. The road cart upset and Mr. Anderson fell upon his head. He suffered concussion of the brain, and died within two hours, not regaining consciousness.

The funeral was held at the home yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the services being conducted by Rev. Pierson, of the Swedish Mission Church of Red Oak. There was a large attendance of friends. A number were present from Red Oak.

Internment was in the South cemetery. Mr. Anderson was born in Sweden, and was about 45 years of age. He had lived in the county some years. He leaves a wife and four children. He was a brother of C.G. Emil and Frank Anderson, of Red Oak.
