Mrs. J. F. McCartney

Mrs. J. F. McCartney, for a number of years a resident of Villisca, died at her home in Sioux City April 15 from appendicitis. She was born in Newark, N. J. in 1858. She was married to J. F. McCartney in 1872, in Warren county, Ill., and resided in Villisca from 1879 to 1898. The remains were brought here and funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church on Sunday morning, conducted by Rev. Thos. E. Hunter her former pastor.
