DEATH OF MRS. HARRIET TURNEY

Mrs. Harriett Turney, mother of Engineer Ed C. Turney, died at the home of the latter Monday morning, Jan 29, at 4 o’clock, from influenza, after an illness of six days. She was in her 76th year, Mrs. Turney’s maiden name was Harriet Lucinda Kelly. She was born in Delaware county, Ohio, Dec. 16, 1824. She was married to Samuel R. Canan May 1, 1845, in Delaware, Ohio. To them was born one child, a son, Charles Canan. Mr. Canan died April 2, 1848. On Dec. 19, 1857, in Delaware, Ohio, she married to Ager Turney. ... [NOTE: not a complete copy]
