Funeral services for Mrs. Eva (Lewis) Burtlow, 87, formerly of Hedrick, were held October 16 in the Community Funeral home in Ottumwa. The Rev. George McLain of Des Moines, a Christian minister, officiated. Burial was in Brooks cemetery at Hedrick.

The daughter of John and Emeline Lewis, she was born at Villisca on July 22, 1875. She died October 13 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Fuller in Cedar Rapids. She was a member of the Hedrick Christian church.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Harry Fuller, Mrs. John Dickerson, Mrs. Harry Butler. Nita Henry ; two sons, Dewey and Cedric. A sister, Mrs. Maude White, 21 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren also survive her. She was preceded in death by her husband William A. Burtlow and a sister, Mrs. Stella Gillette.
