GLENWOOD - Ruth M. Stacy, 87, of Glenwood died Jan. 9 at Glen Haven Nursing Home.
Mrs. Stacy was born in Hastings and was educated at Oak Bluff No. 2 School north of Glenwood.
She was employed at the Christian Home in Council Bluffs, the Union Carbide-Eveready battery plant in Red Oak and also was employed as a dietary worker at the Glenwood State Hospital-School. She also was a foster grandparent at that school.
She was a member of Hillsdale Methodist Church in rural Glenwood.
Mrs. Stacy and her husband, Archie, were married for 52 years. He died on Aug. 23, 1986.
Survivors include three daughters, Annie VanWinkle and friend, Mick Thompson, of Tabor, Carol Stroud and husband, Roger, of Glenwood and Linda Vinton and husband, Gary, of Malvern; three sons, Keith and wife, Ruth Ann, of Marion, Roger and wife, Janene, of Glenwood and Dale Kirkpatrick and wife, Vickie, of Hamburg; two sisters, Marie Topp and husband, Orville, of Greenville, Texas, and Jane Miller and husband, Louis, of Malvern; three brothers, Archie Anderson of Council Bluffs, Richard Anderson and wife, Mary, of Malvern and Buddy Anderson and wife, Frances, of Shenandoah.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Mansfield-Hertz Funeral Home in Malvern. Services will be at 10 a.m Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Darrell Hopp officiating. Burial will be in the Malvern Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established.
