The funeral for Jean Copeland Havick, 90, of Council Bluffs will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home with the Rev. Delwayne Hahn officiating.
Mr. Havick died Feb. 9 at home.
He was born July 12, 1912, in Harlan to Minor W. and Edna (Copeland) Havick. He operated street cars in Omaha for 17 years. He owned and operated Victory Cafe, Dairy Sweet in Missouri Valley and Red Oak Cafe in Red Oak. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.
Mr. Havick was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Virginia Schrack, and a brother, Robert Havick.
Survivors include his wife, Alice (Andersen); one son, Dr. John Havick, and wife, Barbara, of Stone Mountain, Ga.; granddaughter, Ann Firdley, and husband, David, of Atlanta, and grandson, Steven Havick, and wife, Mary, of Athens, Ga.; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Dallas and wife, Jeannette, of Harlan; nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be tonight from 7 to 8 at McCurdy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Harlan Cemetery.
